Jennifer B. Katzen M.S., CCC-SLP
Jennifer is a Speech-Language Pathologist with 13 years of experience treating patients from birth throughout the lifespan.
Jennifer graduated in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University with her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology. Upon graduation she accepted a fellowship at Children’s National in Washington, D.C. During the fellowship year she focused on Augmentative and Alternative Communication treating patients with a variety of communication needs. Upon completion of her fellowship she was invited to stay with the hospital. During the next few years Jennifer continued to cultivate her passion for working with patients with complex communication needs as well as participating in the pediatric voice clinic, and representing the speech-language department on the multidisciplinary craniofacial team.
Jennifer joined Washington Speech-Language Pathology Group in Fairfax, VA. During her time there she continued to treat patients with complex communication needs while also fostering her passion for voice disorders in both adults and children. Jennifer worked closely with ENT’s in the area to work collaboratively in diagnosing and treating a variety of voice disorders.
In 2017, Jennifer moved to South Florida to be closer to family. She joined Memorial Healthcare system’s Home Health department in 2017. During her time working with the home health department, Jennifer has treated adult patients with a variety of communication disorders and swallowing disorders.
In 2020 Jennifer decided to go out on her own in an attempt to better facilitate treating the patient as a whole. Jennifer’s philosophy is that we don’t only treat the deficit, but we treat the whole patient. Jennifer has a passion for working with people throughout the lifespan.
Jennifer is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
She has obtained her clinical competencies. (CCC)
She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) program.
She is certified in Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice Therapy (LMRVT)
She is fluent in English and Spanish.
